We know things are tight this year, which is all the more reason to get out of the house and have some fun. If you've been wanting to enjoy some of the first-rate music we offer at night, you can do so now without paying a cover. Just arrive before 7:30pm and order an entree. Then grab a pint and kick back to see the show. You can bring the kids, too. We can host minors until 9pm. We'll point out to you when we think one of our evening acts is especially family-friendly, but we always schedule performances that include adult content after 9pm.

Why not check out the music this Friday? It's a free 80s Cover Night Open Mic. Musicians, come out and play your favorite tunes from the decade of big shoulders. Audience gets to vote for its favorite performer who will win a gig at Airplay. Sign-up at 7:30pm.
Also on Friday we're introducing a new lunchtime activity: Making Music Lunch. This Friday we're making paper plate tambourines. For this first Friday, materials come free with the purchase of a Kiddo meal, or for $1. Parents and caregivers enjoy delicious grilled paninis, a delightful Taste of Oregon crepe or a healthy Coastal Salad. Little ones can munch on PB&J Pita Triangles or Grilled Cheese, then make their own instrument to take home with them.

Also, as our gift to you, we are going to continue to offer free music in the mornings for another month. In the new year we'll be asking for a small donation per child for our Storytime, Singalong and Music FUNdamentals classes (details below) so we can adequately compensate our wonderful performers. (Parents and caregivers are always be free.) So come on out and take advantage of these activities for free for the full month of December.

MUSIC AT NIGHT

Congratulations to Randy Hartley who won last week's Songwriter's Contest and a free recording session at Airplay. Randy blew the crowd away with his performance and won the vote. Check out some of his incredible guitar playing here. There was also a winner chosen by the house, and that winner will be announced at Friday's contest.

Andy Simon's Open Mic takes place every Tuesday. Sign-up at 7:30pm, performances start at 8pm, free.

Jessie Blevins hosts Songwriters In the Round Wednesday evening. There is a featured performance each week, as well as an opportunity for other songwriters to perform or join the jam. 8pm (Hat passed to support the performers.)

Airplay is now offering the opportunity to reserve our space on weekday afternoons for a private party, event or recording session. Contact us at info@airplaycafe.com.

We can make fundraising more fun for your school or organization. You pick a Wednesday night and we'll dedicate 10% of proceeds from that evening to your organization. Are you a music teacher? Have you been craving a chance to get on stage yourself and show what you can do? We're putting together a music teacher showcase. Drop us an email at music@airplaycafe.com and we'll get back to you with details.
